Eth_ctl project
Last week we had a lesson free week after my exams. In this week I designed a board with a microcontroller and a network connection.
The board has the following features:
- Atmega 32 mcu with 64kb flash and 2kb ram
- The enc26j60 10mbit ehternet controller
- All mcu ports are made externally available through box headers
- No smd components
- rs232 serial connection
This version is revision 0.1 there were quite some mistakes in the pcb and these are corrected in the next version. The only problem was I ran out of pcb and etching chemicals to test the updated version. When I have this version tested I’ll post the schematics and the board layout.
All the mistakes corrected. An other problem was that my etching chemicals were pretty old (+3 years) so some circuit traces were very corroded. I added tin solder on all traces, which makes it look very messy.
My design looks a lot like the ehterrape project but it doesn’t have as much extra sensors or pheperials. Other photos of this board and my avrusb500 programmer can be found in this directory
